The building from the end of the 19th century is a technical monument and an example of the industrial purpose-built architecture in the city. On the outside there is the astronomical "Hop Clock" ( Chmelový Orloj ) with images of the hop-growing year.
For entertainment, there are films in the reception area with the little elf, Hop, the museum's mascot, and a maze of historic hop sacks on the first floor. The complex is complemented by the mini-brewery U Orloje (“To the clock”), a brewery-restaurant with beer garden and a children's café.

The 40 meter high steel observation tower towers over the area of the Hop Museum and can be seen from afar. At the top of the tower are several symbolic metal hop poles. A 3D animation is presented while the elevator is in motion. An outside staircase leads from the first viewing level to the top viewing platform. This eye-catching tower has now become the city's landmark.
