Chris Brann

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Chris Brann (born March 25, 1972 in Atlanta , Georgia , actually Christopher T. Brann ) is an American music producer . He is best known as a member of the Wamdue Project and Ananda Project .

Career

Chris Brann founded the band Wamdue Kids in 1994 together with DJ Deep C (Chris CLar) and Udoh (Chris Udoh) . With the help of Detroit techno producer KHand, the trio produced for various labels, including Peacefrog and Studio K7. Over the years Combo changed names many times, but under the name Wamdue Project, Brann celebrated his greatest success with the band. The house single King of My Castle became an international hit and even reached number one in the British charts in 1999 . Together with the Wamdue Project, Brann was to be nominated for Best British Newcomer for the BRIT Awards in 2000. Due to the fact that Chris Brann is American, the jury withdrew the nomination. In December 2000, Brann said in an interview with MTV that he wasn't really a big fan of house music. His passion is to produce music for the profound mind, not for the dance floor . He himself is a big fan of obscure jazz , which he also performs musically with the organic jazz band P'taah .
