Chris Douglas (born August 4, 1974 ) is an American musician and DJ . He publishes under pseudonyms such as OST , Rook Vallade , Rook Valard and Dalglish .

The Californian musician Chris Douglas performed at the invitation of Autechre in 2004 at the festival All Tomorrow's Parties .
To settle at the points of contact of contemporary electronic music with IDM, Industrial and Musique Concrète, his works appear on labels such as Plug Research, Polyrhythmic, Diskono and Worm Interface alongside people like Boards of Canada and Autechre as well as on his own label Qlipothic, on which he released his debut Seimlste .
The Berliner- by-choice found like-minded people in the Japanese singer Coppe and the jazz musician Jacob and produced the album "Ubik" with them. Douglas had his Qlipothic debut Seimlste remixed by artists such as Autechre , Pita , Merzbow and Stephan Mathieu .

Together with Mike Donovan , Chris Douglas released the EP "Brisbane Cats" in 2000 under the band name "The Church Steps" on the label "Static Caravan". The joint track "Cal / Kearn" appeared on the Japanese label "Contact Records" on the compilation "US Pop Life Vol. 11 / Looking For The Perfect Glass: California Post Punk", on which, among other things, the then unknown bands " !!!
