Stephan Mathieu

Stephan Mathieu (born October 11, 1967 in Saarbrücken ) is a German musician and sound artist .

Mathieu's work is based on digital and analog processing techniques. He creates audio - installations , compositions in the field of electro-acoustics and taught between 2000 and 2005 Digital Art at the HBK Saar and as a guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Arts in Gothenburg , the Bauhaus University Weimar and the Merz Academy in Stuttgart .

His compositions have been published on numerous labels since 1999, including 12k , Ritornell , Ffall and Die Schachtel . He worked with Akira Rabelais , Taylor Deupree , David Sylvian , Robert Hampson (in the formation Main ) and Sylvain Chauveau , among others .
