Christopher Mark "Chris" Eagles (born November 19, 1985 in Hemel Hempstead , Hertfordshire ) is an English football player who was last active at Charlton Athletic .

Career

Eagle's favored position is that of the right attacking midfielder . Originally, the Englishman played in the Academy of Watford FC but moved as a 16-year-old in the youth department of Manchester United . Eagles' first appearance for the club was on October 28, 2003 against Leeds United . From 2005 to 2006 the midfielder was loaned out to four different clubs. The first was his regular club Watford FC (2005, 13 appearances / one goal), then came Sheffield Wednesday (2005, 25 appearances, three goals), again Watford FC (2006, 17 appearances, three goals) and last but not least the Dutch First division team and cooperation partner of the Red Devils NEC Nijmegen (2006, 15 appearances, one goal), where Eagles could not prevail. From December 21, 2006, the Englishman played again for Manchester United and on April 28, 2007 Eagles scored his first goal in their first Premier League game for United in a 4-2 win over Everton . For the 2008/09 season he moved to Burnley FC .

On July 29, 2011, Chris Eagles moved with his teammate Tyrone Mears to the Bolton Wanderers and signed a three-year contract there. After the Wanderers contract expired , Eagles played for Blackpool from November 2014 to February 2015 after a brief period of absence before the striker joined Charlton Athletic .
