Tyrone Mears (born February 18, 1983 in Stockport ) is an English football player of Jamaican descent.

Player career

Tyrone Mears began his career with Manchester City in 2001 , but only came to one competitive game. From 2002 to 2006 he then played for Preston North End and scored four goals in 70 games. In July 2006 he moved to West Ham United , where he was loaned to Derby County in January of the following year . After the end of the 2006/07 season he joined the club permanently in the East Midlands on, however, was the French giants in 2008 Olympique Marseille on loan. After the end of this loan deal, he moved to the Premier League promoted Burnley FC .

On July 29, 2011 Tyrone Mears moved together with his teammate Chris Eagles to the Bolton Wanderers and signed a three-year contract there.
