Chris G. Maier (born December 8, 1971 in Düsseldorf ) is a German investigative journalist, television and film producer.

Life

Maier was born in Düsseldorf in 1971 and grew up in Rinteln between 1984 and 1992 . In 1992 he lived in Thailand for a year and from 1993 for ten months in the Seychelles .

Maier studied at the media academy in Leipzig and then worked in RTL's Explosiv editorial team. After eight months, he moved to the Düsseldorf office as a freelancer and produced articles for TAFF , Blitz and Explosiv . As part of his activity, Maier produced in South America , the United Arab Emirates and Austria . A year later he worked as a freelance editor for a Hamburg production company and worked as an editor and author on series such as Megaman , Die Beautyklinik and Boat of Love .

In 2004 Maier founded his TV production company networxTV with a focus on international reporting. Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan was one of his interviewees. Maier and his team discovered the Buran space shuttle in Bahrain, which was believed to be lost. Maier also works for RTL magazine Punkt 12 as a live reporter and investigative journalist. Maier also produces for SAT1 .

Maier's company has also been producing commercials since the end of 2011.

In October 2018, two perpetrators, who have now been convicted, carried out an arson attack on his car. The fire spread to the house.

Maier is married and has lived in North Rhine-Westphalia since 2012.
