Chris Haslam (born December 19, 1980 ) is a Canadian skateboarder and bass player who now lives in San José .

biography

Haslam started skating when he was 13 while living in Singapore with his parents .

He is well known for his revolutionary skating and his extensive variety of innovative tricks and is often associated with Daewon Song or Rodney Mullen .

Haslam gained attention and popularity since the Almost: Round Three video. Chris won the seventh annual Transworld Skateboarding Awards in 2005. In August 2006 he was the winner of the Vs 411VM competition. That was a competition where some skaters were voted by the public and performed some tricks. The winners of each individual run advanced to the next round. In 2006, Chris Haslam and Daewon Song were featured in the Almost Skateboards video Cheese and Crackers , a video that showed the two of them skating together on a mini ramp . His current sponsors are Almost Skateboards, Independent Trucks, Bones Wheels, Dakine and Globe Shoes.

In April 2007 Haslam had a part in Momentum's debut video Un Momentum (por favor) . He was also the star of the Globe Shoes mini-video United By Fate Part 2 and is a playable character in EA's skateboarding video games Skate , Skate 2 and Skate 3 for Xbox 360 and PS3 .
