Skate 3 is the third installment in the Skate video game series for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 . The game was released in May 2010. The publisher of the game is Electronic Arts .
action
In contrast to its predecessor, the action takes place in Port Carverton, which is larger and divided into three districts. For the first time in the skate series it is possible to form a team , which is also the task in the game . With this one then has to fulfill freely selectable tasks, which include spot challenges , team promotions and the “Hall of Meat Challenges” that were already known from the predecessor. For every completed task you sell skateboards, the number of which depends on how well a task has been mastered. After a certain number of boards sold, you reach a sales milestone at which you unlock new merchandise for your skater, new opportunities for your skate park and a new team member. As with the previous titles, the person involved is a skater, to whom the player has to give a name, to whom he can give hairstyles, tattoos and clothes and whom he ultimately has to control.
Changes
There are some new features in Skate 3 :
- Port Carverton as a new location.
- There are new tricks such as the Darkslide, in which the skateboard turns upside down during a slide and the rider stands on the underside of the board.
- Online career mode (Challenges in the career , play online with others).
- In contrast to its predecessors, which were limited to 30 frames, Skate 3 runs at a constant 60 frames per second.
- The meat mode has been improved, the injured bones are displayed in white on the body, which saves the meat screen to display the broken bones . Broken bones are now displayed in red on the body. The body controls (Spread Eagle, Cannonball, Judo Kick and Torpedo) were retained. However, one can control the character due to a hammer on the ground, and thus more easily fall on passers-by or objects.
- Board sales and different levels of difficulty, with different realism.
- In Skate 3 it is still possible to upload your own replays and photos and have them rated by the community . Here, however, there was also the possibility of uploading the skate park he had created himself .
