Christopher "Chris" Morris (born September 5, 1962 in Buckden , Cambridgeshire , England ) is a British satirist , comedian , screenwriter , director , actor and former radio host .

Life

He is best known as the creator, author and leading actor of the television programs The Day Today and Brass Eye , which primarily satirically thematized or parodied news coverage on British television. For his short film My Wrongs 8245-8249 and 117 , Morris won a British Academy Film Award in 2003 in the Best Short Film category .

In 2010, Morris' first feature film Four Lions , a satirical black comedy about Islamist suicide bombers , was released. Morris received his second BAFTA for his feature film debut, this time in the Best Young Talent category .
