Chris Rupp (* 1967 in Nuremberg ) is a computer scientist who works in the field of requirements engineering.

From October 1986 to September 1991 she studied computer science at the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences . She then worked as a systems analyst for Siemens AG and switched to Rösch Consulting GmbH in 1994 . In 1995 she founded the company SOPHIST GmbH . From 1999 she was also a member of the University Council at the Nuremberg University of Applied Sciences.

Chris Rupp provides contributions to the theory of requirements engineering , e.g. B. showed how computational linguistics methods can be used to analyze natural language requirements. Together with Peter Hruschka, she also worked on topics related to agile software development . In the field of events, for example, she cooperated with Tom DeMarco and organized the annual meeting of the German-speaking requirements engineering scene (from 2001 as co-founder of "Requirements Days", since 2011 as founder of the annual conference "SOPHIST DAYS").

Together with her company SOPHIST GmbH, she established her own methodical approaches in requirements engineering, such as the REgelwerk (1996) or the natural language formulation templates based on NLP (2002/2012). With her team, she advises and trains companies in various business sectors on the various approaches of requirements engineering - both in the classic and in the agile context.

With her participation in the establishment of the International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB), she brought the international certification standard Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE) on the way.

Chris Rupp is known as the author of numerous standard works in the requirements engineering industry and articles in relevant specialist magazines.

As a speaker and keynote speaker, she is active at various national and international conferences of the RE scene.

In addition to IT, Chris Rupp is active in the field of art as an active artist and with the association "Alte Schule Hohenstein Association for the Promotion of Art and Culture eV"
