Christian Ludwig "Chrislo" Haas (born November 16, 1956 in Aichach ; † October 23, 2004 in Berlin ) was a German musician and founding member of the bands DAF and Der Plan .

Chrislo Haas shaped the German music scene in the 1980s through his work on the synthesizer ( Korg MS-20 ) at Minus Delta t , DAF, CHBB as a forerunner of Liaisons Dangereuses and later at Crime and the City Solution . He is considered one of the founding fathers of techno and modern electronic dance music. On Lunatec he produced the Track Go with Non-Eric under the project name Armed Response . The maxi single was also released on Mute Records. He released his two records for the Tresor Records label under the name "Chrislo".

Haas is one of the protagonists in Jürgen Teipel's documentary novel Verschwende Deine Jugend .

Chrislo Haas died at the end of October 2004 at the age of 47 in a Berlin apartment of a circulatory collapse as a result of excessive alcohol consumption.
