Christel Machens

Christoph Gerhard Machens (called Christel , born October 31, 1877 in Groß-Algermissen ; † February 2, 1941 ibid) was a German politician (center).

Machens attended elementary school and the agricultural winter school. He then worked as a self-employed farmer, where he continued his education by attending courses in fruit growing and horticulture. Politically, he was involved in the Catholic Center Party .

On December 12, 1921, Machens came to the Reichstag in the replacement process for the retired Center Member Wilhelm Maxen , in which he represented constituency 18 (South Hanover-Braunschweig) and to which he belonged until the elections of May 1924.
