Christian Alander
Christian Alander , also Christiernus Alander , (born January 19, 1660 , after Zedler January 17, 1660, in Finström ; † March 6, 1704 , after Zedler March 24, 1660, in Åbo ) was a Swedish philosopher and music writer.
life and work
Christian Alander was the son of a preacher on the Finnish island of Fasta Åland . He studied in Åbo and Uppsala . In 1692 Alander became professor of rhetoric at the Åbo Conservatory .
In 1703 he published the text Rhetor musicus sive de vi et usu musices in rhetorica .
On January 20, 1704 Christianus Walstenius (1680-1750) received his doctorate with his dissertation De cane rhetorico .
