Christian Almeida , full name Christian Andrés Almeida Rodríguez , (born December 25, 1989 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
The 1.70 meter tall defensive player Almeida has been in the squad of the professional team of Liverpool Montevideo since the 2011/12 season . In this and the two following first division seasons he played a total of 46 games in the Primera División . He did not score a hit. At the end of the 2013/14 season he rose with the club in the Segunda División . In the following second division season he then contributed with 20 season appearances and one hit to the direct promotion. In the first division season 2015/16 he was used 20 times (two goals) in the Primera División and secured relegation with the team.
In January 2018, after almost six and a half years, he left the club and joined league rivals Defensa y Justicia .
