Christian Bartel (sculptor)
Christian Bartel (* 1958 in Linz ) is an Austrian sculptor , ceramist and university professor .
Live and act
Bartel studied sculpture with Erwin Reiter at the University of Artistic and Industrial Design in Linz from 1982 to 1989 and has been teaching there in the Department of Plastic Concepts / Ceramics since 1993.
He has lived and worked in Linz and Vienna since 1989 as a freelance artist together with Andrea Pesendorfer and has presented his works since 1989 as part of national and international exhibitions. Bartel is a member of the MAERZ artists' association .
Works
Notable project realizations were in 1992 for the Open House of Culture Upper Austria , Linz, and in 1997 for the gallery in the Stifterhaus in Linz . In 2003 he completed artistic residencies in New York City and Mexico .
