Christian Brachthäuser (born January 20, 1975 in Siegen ) is a German librarian and non-fiction author .

Life

Brachthäuser was born as the first child of the sports teacher Gerd Brachthäuser and his wife Sigrid, geb. Hoffmann, born and completed his school career in his hometown. Since the beginning of the 2000s he has been critical of the UFO phenomenon and the paleo-SETI hypothesis . Since the mid-2010s, he has been increasingly concerned with castle research , aristocratic history and, in particular, with the history of the Nassau region . The focus of his research is on the close dynastic relationships between the Principality of Orange-Nassau and the royal houses in the Netherlands and Belgium . Brachthäuser works at the Siegen City Archives, where he looks after the scientific library on regional history.
