Christian Deuschl (born April 20, 1997 ) is an Austrian Nordic combined athlete .

Career

He made his debut in the Nordic Combined Grand Prix on August 31, 2016 at the Grand Prix in Villach . In his first race he finished fifth after jumping, but was passed through to 34th place in the inline skating run. He not only started at the Grand Prix, but also at the summer competitions of the Alpine Cup . On September 18, 2016, he finished third in Winterberg and on October 1, 2016 in Hinterzarten . One day later, he celebrated his first victory in the Alpine Cup.

He was allowed to participate in the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2017 in and around Park City for Austria . After finishing third after jumping on February 4, 2017, he had to be content with fifth place after cross-country skiing. He was not used in the second individual competition and in the team competition, where Austria won gold.

On December 16, 2017, he made his debut for Austria in the Nordic Combined World Cup at the World Cup in Ramsau am Dachstein . In his first race he finished 46th and missed his first World Cup points. He was able to collect his first World Cup points in Hakuba . After jumping he was still in 18th place on February 3, 2018 and had to be satisfied with 29th place and two World Cup points after cross-country skiing.
