Christian G. Pätzold (born August 17, 1951 in Berlin ) is a German economist and essayist. He used to publish under the names Jan Pätzold and Christian Pätzold.

Life

Christian G. Pätzold spent his youth in West Berlin, where he took part in the student movement of 1968. After training as an offset printer in Kreuzberg, he studied economics from 1975 to 1979 at the Free University of Berlin with a degree in economics. In 1988 he received his doctorate. rer. pole. with a dissertation on the concept of work at the Free University of Berlin with Hajo Riese and Heiner Ganßmann .

Act

In the early 1990s he worked with the sexologist Erwin J. Haeberle in the Federal Health Office (information and documentation on AIDS). In the 1990s he taught economics and finance in Berlin. In the 2000s he worked on Pätzold's Economic Thesaurus (POET), a comprehensive economic reference work. The topics of alternative economics and the economics of sustainability are particularly important. Since 2015 he has published the Berlin culture blog "kuhlewampe.net".
