Hajo giant

Hajo Riese (born January 10, 1933 in Wiener Neustadt ) is a professor emeritus for economics at the Institute for Economic Policy and Economic History at the Free University of Berlin . His research revolves around Keynesian monetary policy .

Hajo Riese received his doctorate in 1959 from the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel. From 1960 to 1963 he worked at Prognos AG in Basel . In 1966 he completed his habilitation at the University of Basel . In 1967 he followed a call to the Johannes Kepler University Linz . In 1971 he moved to the Free University of Berlin (FU).

In 1993/94, Hajo Riese examined monetary policy in South American countries at the invitation of the central banks and governments. In 1995 and 1997 he examined Vietnam , where he also accompanied the development of the financial system in a research project.

He is a founding member of the Keynes Society.
