Christian Glienewinkel
Christian Glienewinkel (born May 15, 1985 in Celle , Lower Saxony ) is a geriatric nurse and amateur show jumper with significant success in the professional field.
Life
After finishing school, he completed an apprenticeship as a horse manager before learning to care for the elderly in the family's own old people's home. Since May 2015 he is married to Ilka Glienewinkel, b. Schmerglatt. She is also a geriatric nurse and amateur show jumper.
In August 2013 he received the golden riding badge . In addition to his care work, he trains jumping horses. With his successful horse, the Hanoverian gelding Professional Aircare , who was born in 2001 , Christian Glienewinkel won a large number of power competitions with walls over two meters high . He starts with other horses in jumping competitions up to advanced classes, also in international competitions.
For the first time in 2011 Glienewinkel took part in the German Jumping Derby with Professional Aircare . Four years later, on May 17, 2015, both of them won the 86th German Jumping Derby in Hamburg with a zero-error round, endowed with 120,000 euros, after finishing eighth and ninth in 2013 and 2014. In 95 years of Derby history, this was the 151st error-free ride.
