Christian Heinrich Sandler (entrepreneur, 1929)
Christian Heinrich Sandler (born August 26, 1929 - July 17, 2009 ) was a German entrepreneur. He managed the textile company Sandler AG in Schwarzenbach an der Saale , founded by his grandfather .
Life
Christian Heinrich Sandler studied in Nuremberg and obtained a degree in business administration. During his studies he joined the company of his father Christian Heinrich Sandler, the son of the company founder of the same name, Christian Heinrich Sandler. In 1953 he became an authorized signatory and in 1957 a partner and managing director. Over time, he built the company into one of the leading nonwovens manufacturers in Europe.
Christian Heinrich Sandler was a volunteer, e. B. Member of the general assembly of the Chamber of Commerce for Upper Franconia in Bayreuth, of which he was president for several years. He was also a member of the presidency and vice-president of Bavarian industry and, at the federal level, vice-president of the General Association of the Textile Industry . In these committees, Christian Heinrich Sandler advocated coping with structural change in the textile industry and the challenges of the nonwovens industry. Regionally, he turned against the abolition of zone border subsidies after the opening of the border , he was the initiator of the Hofer Vliesstofftage and was involved in setting up the Hof University of Applied Sciences . The Christian Heinrich Sandler Foundation named after him for the promotion of charitable and benevolent institutions and projects was brought into being by him. He was also committed to Rotary International .
Christian Heinrich Sandler died shortly before his 80th birthday after 60 years of work in his company. Sandler AG is now run by his son Christian Heinrich Sandler (* 1953) in the fourth generation.
