Christian Honhold (born May 11, 1965 in Lübeck ) is a former German professional boxer and boxing trainer.

Life

The 1.90 m tall and 109 kg heavy Honhold played 150 amateur fights and nine professional fights. He was a two-time junior champion, once a youth champion and once a German champion with the amateurs and the professionals. He fought his first fight as a professional boxer in July 1991. In October 1993, Bernd Friedrich fought for the vacant German heavyweight championship title, but lost. In May 1994 the two faced each other again in the ring, this time Honhold won and thus became German champion. In his first title defense in October 1994 in Lübeck, he lost to Steffen Wiesenthal . Honhold was trained by his father Karsten .

In the film " Der Totmacher " Honhold played a security guard. He worked professionally as the owner of a security service and as the operator of a Lübeck martial arts school ("World of Punch").
