Christian Krech

Christian Krech (* 1969 in Halle an der Saale ) is a German clarinetist .

Life

After training at the special school for music in Weimar , Christian Krech studied at the Hanns Eisler University in Berlin and at the Cologne University of Music . At the age of 19 he came to the Academy of the Berlin State Opera . From 1991 to 1992 he was deputy principal clarinet at the Komische Oper Berlin . Since the age of 23 he has been the principal clarinet of the Brandenburg State Orchestra in Frankfurt . In addition to his work with the Brandenburg State Orchestra, Krech appears as a soloist with numerous orchestras at home and abroad. In addition, he made a number of recordings for the radio.

He gained international experience through concert tours that took him to several European countries as well as Canada, China, Japan and the USA.

Krech is committed to helping the next generation of clarinets. His daughter Johanna, also a clarinetist, has won multiple prizes at Jugend musiziert and appeared for the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben .
