Christian Lammert

Christian Lammert (born January 10, 1969 in Offenbach am Main ) is a German political scientist.

Life

Lammert teaches as a professor for domestic politics in North America at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies at the Free University of Berlin and is a Research Associate at the Center for North America Research (ZENAF) at the Goethe University in Frankfurt .

Christian Lammert received his doctorate in 2002 with his dissertation “Regional Movements and State Power in Canada and France” at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Frankfurt am Main. From 2001 to 2008 he was a research assistant at the ZENAF and at the Chair of Political Science with a focus on “Comparative Political Science” (Puhle).

Lammert's research interests include comparative political science, the political systems in Canada and the USA , comparative welfare state research, tax and social policy, nationalism research and multiculturalism.

In 2017 Lammert was head of the Political Science and Sociology section of the Society for Canadian Studies.
