Christian Lusch

Christian Lusch (born February 19, 1981 in Bühl ) is a German marksman.

Christian Lusch grew up as the oldest of four brothers in the Bühler district of Eisental and attended the local elementary school. Later he moved to the secondary school in Bühl and then to the technical high school in the same place, which he graduated from high school in 1999 .

At the age of ten, Lusch took part in a “everyone's shooting” in the local shooting club, where his talent was recognized and further promoted. Just three years later, he was able to qualify for the first time to participate in the German championships, where he finished 23rd. During his time at the technical high school, he was appointed to the German junior national team.

After graduating from high school, Lusch was drafted into the Bundeswehr's sports promotion company , where he was able to intensify his training. Following his service with the German Armed Forces, he began training as a process mechanic in plastics technology and then studying industrial engineering at the University of Cooperative Education in Karlsruhe .

After several appearances in international competitions, he managed to qualify for participation in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens , where he won the silver medal in the small bore discipline behind Matthew Emmons from the USA.

For this he received the silver bay leaf on March 16, 2005 .
