Christian Staudinger (born November 12, 1970 in Vienna ) is an Austrian television reporter and correspondent for ORF .

Life

Staudinger gained his first television experience in August 2000 at the Barbara Karlich Show ; from there he moved to 25 - Das Magazin , an ORF youth magazine , in March 2004 . There he worked first as an editor, later as the head of the service. From October 2004 he worked for the ORF news program Zeit im Bild (ZIB), initially for two years mainly in the Chronicle department, two years in ZIB domestic policy, then two years in foreign policy. In the meantime he was part of the development team at ZIB 24 . In the start-up phase of ORF 1 News he was a regular program planner and head of the ZIB 24 , ZIB 20 and ZIB News Flash service . At the beginning of 2010 he moved to ZIB 2 , where he was mainly responsible for international issues.

Since August 2011 he has been involved in the “ Neighbors in Need ” projects as a “camera reporter”, i.e. filming himself . Reports and live entries, including from the great drought in East Africa, the floods in Pakistan and the earthquake in Haiti, were featured in a wide variety of news programs (“Neighbors in Need” special programs, Zeit im Bild, Thema, Ö1 journals ) broadcast.

Since July 2012, Christian Staudinger has also been the head of duty and program planner for “Zeit im Bild” at 7:30 pm.

From January 2013, Christian Staudinger will report as a correspondent from the ORF office in Washington, DC
