Christian Steinbach (born January 29, 1973 in Leipzig ) is a Saxon politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Saxon state parliament (2004 to 2009).

Education, profession and positions

After graduating from high school in Borna in 1991, Christian Steinbach studied law in Leipzig from 1991 to 1995 . From 1996 to 1998 he was a trainee lawyer and has been working as a lawyer and entrepreneur since 1999. Steinbach was among other things a member of the supervisory board of CAV Chemnitzer Abfallverwertungs mbH.

Christian Steinbach is married and an Evangelical Lutheran.

Christian Steinbach has been a member of the CDU since 1999. In the Union he has been a member of the district board of Leipziger Land since 1999 and was deputy district chairman from 2001 to 2003 and chairman of this district association from 2003 to 2005. From 1994 to 1999 he was deputy mayor of the city of Rötha .

From October 2004 to September 2009 Steinbach was a member of the Saxon State Parliament for the constituency of Leipziger Land 2 . There he was chairman of the Committee on Rules of Procedure and Immunity Matters since November 2004. He also belonged to the evaluation committee, the committee "Demographic development and its effects on the areas of life of the people in the Free State of Saxony as well as their consequences for the political fields of action", the committee for social affairs, health, family, women and youth, the interior committee and the constitution , Legal and European Committee.
