Christian von Hirschhausen

Christian Roland von Hirschhausen (born March 7, 1964 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German economist .

Life

Hirschhausen studied economics in Boulder (Colorado) and industrial engineering in Berlin and received his doctorate in 1995 from the École nationale supérieure des mines de Paris in business administration for the privatization of Eastern European combines . From 1997 to 2004 he worked as a research assistant in the world economy department at DIW Berlin , and in 2002 he completed his habilitation at the Technical University of Berlin , where he headed the Department of Economic and Infrastructure Policy (WIP) from 2002 to 2004. In the winter semester 2004/2005 was followed by Christian von Hirschhausen the call of the Technical University of Dresden and was owner of DREWAG - Endowed Chair energy . He soon accepted a position at the TU Berlin and since April 2009 has been head of the Economic and Infrastructure Policy Department again. He has also been chairman of the Joint Commission for Industrial Engineering at the TU Berlin since June 2009.

His brother is the doctor and cabaret artist Eckart von Hirschhausen .
