Christiane Hofmann (* 1945 ) is a German educator and professor at the Institute for Curative and Special Education at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen .

After studying teaching for elementary, secondary and special schools, Hofmann moved to the Justus Liebig University in Gießen in 1977 as a pedagogical assistant to supervise Jürgen Wendeler 's field of special educational psychology and diagnostics. 1982 doctorate Hofmann on family life - comparative studies of microstructural socialization processes in families of the total, primary and special schools .

In the summer semester of 2002, Hofmann took over the professorship at the Faculty of “ Social and Cultural Studies ” at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen with a focus on pedagogy for the learning disabled, taking into account pedagogy for behavioral disorders.

Hofmann holds the position of chairman of the diploma examination committee for educational sciences.
