Christina Ørntoft
Christina Ørntoft (born July 2, 1985 ) is a Danish soccer player . She took part with the Danish national team in the 2007 World Cup and the 2013 European Championship .
Athletic career
Ørntoft started playing football at Espergærde IF . Via Lillerød IF and Ballerup-Skovlunde Fodbold , she joined the wiveship of Brøndby IF in 3F Ligaen . In 2008 she moved to Damallsvenskan in Sweden, where she joined LdB FC Malmö . During her stay in Sweden, overshadowed by injuries, she became Swedish champions with the club in 2010 and 2011. In 2012 she returned to Brøndby IF and won the double here at the end of the year and in 2013 .
After Nielsen had already been a junior national player, she made her debut in 2005 in the Danish national team. National coach Kenneth Heiner-Møller called her into the squad for the 2007 World Cup. There she was a supplementary player, only in the final group game she was used. After missing participation in the 2009 European Championship two years later due to an injury and Denmark failed to qualify for the 2011 World Cup , she was back in the 2013 European Championship. As a regular player, she played all five tournament games of the selection until she was eliminated in the semifinals against Norway .
