Christina Hennings (* as Christina Gerking January 21, 1984 in Leer , East Friesland ) is a former rower , in 2006 she became vice world champion with the German women's eight .

Christina Hennings grew up as the second born in a family in Leer-Heisfelde and first attended elementary school in Heisfelde and then went to the Ubbo-Emmius-Gymnasium (UEG) in Leer, where her father works as a teacher. Her mother is also a teacher. She also has an older sister and two younger brothers. The whole family is active in rowing, especially her mother was successful in this sport in the 1970s and 1980s. Christina Hennings began her career with the Leer rowing club in 1903 . In 2011 she ended her career as a competitive athlete.
