Christine Goertz

Christine Goertz (born August 17, 1941 in Braunschweig ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Goertz attended elementary school and high school. She completed an apprenticeship as a chemical engineer . She then practiced this profession in various research institutes in Braunschweig , Tübingen and Krefeld . She has been a housewife since the birth of her first child, and has three years of experience as a family carer.

In 1989 Goertz joined the SPD. In 1990 she became chairwoman of the working group of social democratic women in the Augsburg-Land sub-district and in 1991 she became a representative of the AsF-Swabians in the Swabian regional committee and in 1994 a member of the AsF regional committee. In 1993 she became a board member of the SPD sub-district Augsburg-Land. In 1996 she became a district councilor in the Augsburg district . She was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1994 to 2003.
