Christine Liew

Christine Liew (* 1966 in Bonn - Bad Godesberg as Christine Henjes ) is a German non-fiction author and East Asian scholar .

Life

Christine Liew studied Japanese and Korean at the Department of Oriental Languages ​​at the University of Bonn and continued her studies at the University of Tōhoku in Sendai with the subjects of linguistics and comparative cultural studies. She finished her studies with a Master of Letters (MLitt) degree .

Christine Liew returned to Germany with her family in 2003 after spending 15 years in Japan. She is a member of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ) for Japanese and English.

Christine Liew has been the course coordinator at the East Asia Institute at the University of Ludwigshafen am Rhein since 2012 .
