Christoph Alexander Müller

Christoph Alexander Müller (born June 7, 1968 in Stuttgart ) is a German economist and professor at the University of St. Gallen .

Life

He studied economics at the University of Hohenheim (graduated in 1992) and received his doctorate in 1995 from the University of St. Gallen. oec .; in 2000, he completed his habilitation at the same university.

In the period from 1996 to 2001, Christoph A. Müller worked as a project and study manager for the “Intensive Studies for Managers in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” at the University of St. Gallen (KMU-HSG). From 2002 to 2008 he held the endowed chair “Entrepreneurship” at the University of Hohenheim and headed the “Center of Entrepreneurship” there.

Since 2008, Müller has been an adjunct professor for business administration with a focus on small and medium-sized enterprises and business start-ups at the University of St. Gallen. At the same time he was appointed Executive Director of the newly founded Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CEE-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen.

The Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence (CEE-HSG) was founded in November 2008 as an interdisciplinary, cross-institute center at the University of St. Gallen. It offers an extracurricular training program in entrepreneurship, lectures and start-up support at the University of St. Gallen. In addition, it carries out joint projects with partner universities and companies to promote entrepreneurial thinking and acting.

On May 13, 2011, the University Council and Senate of the University of Hohenheim elected Christoph Alexander Müller as the new Rector. Müller was supposed to take over his position from Hans-Peter Liebig on October 1st, but on September 7th, 2011 he canceled the job.

Since January 1, 2013, Christoph Müller has been academic co-director of the Henri B. Meier Entrepreneur School of the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law at the University of St. Gallen.
