Henri B. Meier

Henri Bernard Meier (born May 6, 1936 in Lourdes ; legal resident in Buttisholz ) is a Swiss entrepreneur.

Henri B. Meier studied at the University of St. Gallen , where he also received his doctorate in 1965 under Hans Bachmann ( The Capital Market in Venezuela's Economic Development ). He then worked for the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Latin America before coming back to Switzerland.

From 1986 to 2000 he was CFO of Hoffmann-La Roche . He was also Chairman of the Board of Directors of Givaudan and, after leaving Hoffmann-La Roche, worked in the field of biotechnology . a. with the foundation of HBM BioVentures , Europe's largest investment company in the fields of human medicine, biotechnology and medical technology .

The University of Basel awarded him an honorary doctorate in political science in 1999.

Meier is married with two children and lives in Buonas .
