Andy Becht (* 1974 in Landau in der Pfalz ) is a German lawyer and attorney and since May 2016 State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture Rhineland-Palatinate .

Life

His school time at the elementary school in Bellheim , where he still lives today, and the Eduard-Spanger-Gymnasium in Landau (Palatinate) lasted from 1980 to 1994, which he finished with the Abitur. After attending the Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles (USA) in 1995, he studied law and political science at the University of Mannheim , which he completed in 1998 with the first state examination in law. He did his legal clerkship from 1999 to 2001 at the Landau District Court in the Palatinate , the Landau Public Prosecutor's Office and the Structure and Approval Directorate South in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse . In 2001, Becht worked in the German Bundestag in the office of Rainer Brüderle and trainee lawyer in the office of the Minister for Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rhineland-Palatinate under Minister of State Hans-Artur Bauckhage . In 2002, after successfully passing his second state examination, he was admitted to the bar and worked for the law firm Luppert Rechtsanwälte in Kandel until 2016 . In 2008 he was approved as a specialist lawyer for tenancy and residential property law .

Under Minister Volker Wissing ( FDP ), Becht was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rhineland-Palatinate in 2016 by Prime Minister Malu Dreyer ( Dreyer II cabinet ), after having been on the state list several times for the state parliament (2016: 9th place ) of the Liberals and ran as a direct candidate in the Germersheim constituency . The direct mandate has been given to candidates for the CDU in every state election since 1947 (constituency votes: 7.6% (2006), 4.1% (2011), 7.3% (2016); regional votes: 6.7% (2006), 3rd , 6% (2011), 6.2% (2016)).

From 1999 to 2009 and 2014 to 2016, Becht was a member of the local community council and from 2004 to 2009 and 2014 to 2016 a member of the association council of his home town Bellheim and also chairman of the parliamentary group in both councils. He was a member of the district council of the district of Germersheim from 1999 to 2009 and from 2014 to the beginning of his work as State Secretary in 2016. From 2009 to 2014 he was also a district member of the district of Germersheim with the health and consumer protection division. From 2001 to 2017 he was chairman of the FDP district association Germersheim and chairman of the FDP Bellheim. Since 2016 he has been chairman of the Palatinate FDP district association. Other professional activities are as a lecturer at the Nardini nursing school (legal studies) at the Vinzentius Hospital in Landau in the Palatinate (2007 to 2011), member of the association assembly and the administrative board of Sparkasse Germersheim-Kandel (2009 to 2014) and as chairman of the South Palatinate Psychiatry Council (2011 to 2014).

Andy Becht has been married since 2005 and has three sons. He has been a musician in various local and regional bands since 1988; He works as a dance, session and studio musician, as has been with the group HOBO, Siegmayer Becht & Band since 1992 (since 2007) and founder and co-owner of the record label Landhausstil-Records (since 2014).

In the years 2014–2016 he performed several concerts as a guest musician in Gregor Meyle's band .

Since then he has been appointed to the ensemble of the cooking and music event “KitchenJam” at the Bellheimer Kochschule 1A, where he worked as a guitarist a. a. played with Johannes Oerding , Max Giesinger , Jock, Tommi Baldu and Tobias Regner .

In 2018 the LA music production "27 faces of a broken heart" by the musician Ramin Partovi was released, the aim of which was to bring Partovi's 27 favorite guitarists together on a single album, with the task of individually interpreting a song written by Ramin Partovi. The backing band consisted of Simon Phillips , Jimmy Johnson and Carl Verheyen . In addition to Andy Becht, guitarists Scott Henderson , Tom Kolb, Brent Mason and Mike Stern participated in the production .

He is also the inventor of the chilli sauce "Andy Becht's Palzpepper", which he has been selling in his own sales network since 2013. Since his appointment as State Secretary, business activities have been suspended or only continued to a very limited extent.
