Christoph Bläsi (* 1960 ) is a German book scholar .

career

From 1982 to 1989 Bläsi studied at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (mathematics with a focus on computer science, German and linguistics), in between 1985/86 and 1987/88 he completed a study abroad at the University of Sussex in the field of computational linguistics, artificial intelligence. From 1989 to 1992 he was a research assistant at the chair for Computational Linguistics at the University of Heidelberg , in between in 1991 Bläsi had a research stay at the Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale in Pisa . After completing his doctorate with Herbert Ernst Wiegand and Thorsten Roelcke ( Dr. phil. In Heidelberg ) in 1999, he was Professor of Book Studies at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg from 2004 to 2009 . Since 2009 he has been Professor of Book Studies at the University of Mainz .

His main research interests are textbooks and educational media, theories and methods of publishing studies , cookbooks, especially the “foreign” in cookbooks and artificial intelligence applications in the publishing industry.
