Christoph Bottoni

Christoph Bottoni (born September 21, 1977 in Winterthur ) is a Swiss sailor in the laser boat class .

He became Swiss champion several times and took part in the Universiade in Palma in 1999 . After suffering a serious motorcycle accident in 2002, he was only able to practice sailing to a limited extent for three years and narrowly missed the qualification he was aiming for for the 2004 Summer Olympics . At international level, he established himself in the front midfield and finally qualified for the Olympic sailing competitions in Qingdao . There he reached number 37.

Bottoni lives in Castel San Pietro , is a member of the Circolo Velico Lago di Lugano and belongs to the national team of the Swiss Sailing Association. He studied medicine at the University of Zurich and has been practicing as a dentist at the school dental clinic in Zurich since 2001 . In 2006 he took part in the election for Mister Switzerland and came third.
