Christoph Gödel

Christoph Gödel (* 1945 in Silesia ) is a German lawyer and was the presiding judge at the Federal Administrative Court from 2004 to 2010 .

Career

After completing his legal training in Würzburg and Freiburg, Gödel first joined the judicial service in Baden-Württemberg . He subsequently worked in the ordinary courts , as a public prosecutor and in the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Justice. From 1978 to 1980 Christoph Gödel was seconded to the Representation of the State of Baden-Württemberg in Bonn . In 1985 he received the rank of Ministerial Councilor in the ministerial administration .

In 1991 he was appointed judge at the Federal Administrative Court. Gödel was initially a member of the 10th Audit Senate, which dealt with questions about travel expenses, relocation costs and separation allowances, and the 1st Disciplinary Senate, which was responsible for civil servant disciplinary matters. At the beginning of 2000 he moved to the 7th Audit Senate responsible for environmental law and the law governing property issues. In June 2000 he became deputy chairman of the 7th Senate. From May 3, 2004 to September 30, 2010 Gödel was chairman of the 8th revision panel of the Federal Administrative Court responsible for property issues and local law .
