Christoph Kühn (politician)

Christoph Kühn (born March 5, 1964 in Aschbach (Lebach) ) is a German politician (formerly FDP ) and former member of the Saarland state parliament.

Life

Kühn completed his apprenticeship as a chef in 1984, and in 1990 as a state-certified food technician. In 1994 he graduated from the Administration and Business Academy as a business economist (VWA).

In 2003 Kühn joined the FDP. From 2008 to 2012 he was in charge of the Saarlouis FDP district association. From September 2009 to April 2012 Kühn was a member of the Saarland state parliament and parliamentary manager of the FDP parliamentary group.

In the state elections in 2009 , Kühn entered the Saarland state parliament for the first time via the list in the Saarlouis constituency . Kühn was the economic, social and European policy spokesman and member of the Interparliamentary Council. Since the end of 2011, the public prosecutor's office has been investigating him on the basis of a travel allowance that may have been obtained without a legal basis. For this reason, he resigned on December 29, 2011 from the candidacy for the office of parliamentary group leader.

With the early state elections in 2012, he left the state parliament.

In its judgment of October 28, 2013, the Saarland Administrative Court ruled in favor of Kühn. The Landtag was sentenced to repay the flat-rate travel allowance that Kühn then paid to the Landtag because of the allegations. The Saarbrücken public prosecutor closed the investigation on suspicion of fraud.

Kühn left the FDP in 2015.
