Christof Kievenheim

Christof Kievenheim (* 1946 ; † January 26, 1978 in Berlin ) was a German sociologist and non-fiction author.

Life

Kievenheim studied sociology and political science in Marburg. He was MSB Spartakus board member, member of the DKP and employee of the Institute for Marxist Studies and Research . In 1975 he became a university assistant for sociology at the Free University of Berlin in Babelsberger Strasse with Sebastian Herkommer .

His main areas of work were the social situation and the awareness of intelligence. His publications deal with this and the problems of the trade union and political struggle of the socialists in the Federal Republic.

In 1976 he set up the Euro-Communist- oriented working group for the Western European Workers' Movement in Berlin , which mainly included Euro-Communist-oriented students and academics who were previously organized in the DKP or SEW or were closely related to these parties. Kievenheim committed suicide in 1978.
