The Kroschke Group unites companies in the field of vehicle registration and vehicle-related services. The core of the group of companies are Christoph Kroschke GmbH, DAD Deutscher Auto Dienst GmbH, DKT Deutsche Kennzeichen Technik and Kroschke Digital. The Kroschke Children's Foundation is also part of the corporate group.
history
In 1957, Martin Kroschke and Elfriede Kroschke opened the first car sign shop in Braunschweig . The car signs were accepted and sold from a VW Beetle near the registration office. The first shop was opened in 1962.
1969 Klaus Kroschke joined the company. Klaus Kroschke mainly took care of the expansion of the activities in the business fields of traffic and work safety signs, advertising screen printing as well as engraved and embossed signs.
In 1974 the son Christoph Kroschke joined the company and continued to expand the branch business. Christoph Kroschke opened the first branches in Essen , Stuttgart and Dortmund . In 1987 there were 100 branches.
In 1993, Klaus Kroschke and Christoph Kroschke founded the Kroschke Foundation for Children (since 2015 Children's Foundation).
In 1995 the group of companies was split up. The companies managed by Christoph Kroschke were relocated to Ahrensburg in Schleswig-Holstein under Christoph Kroschke Holding GmbH & Co. KG . Klaus Kroschke remains with Kroschke sign-international GmbH in Braunschweig.
In 1998 Christoph Kroschke founded the company DAD Deutscher Auto Dienst GmbH. In 2002 the group became a partner in the Hamburg water sports outfitter AW Niemeyer. In 2004 a large part of the group was moved to a new headquarters in Ahrensburg. The first branch of Kroschke Logistics Systems GmbH was founded in Austria.
In 2008 the Kroschke Bürgerservice GmbH was founded together with the Deutsche Post AG . The six branches offer postal and banking services (cash payments, account statements), stationery, kiosk products, citizen services and vehicle registration.
In 2012, Philipp Kroschke joined the group as managing director.
In 2013 Christoph Kroschke GmbH acquired a majority stake in the online used car platform Carsale24. The investment in the Swiss software developer Spearhead follows in 2016. This laid the foundation for digital claims management and telematics . This was followed in 2017 by the expansion of participation and cooperation with T-Systems in the area of claims management.
In 2017 Felix Kroschke became managing director of Christoph Kroschke GmbH and DAD Deutscher Auto Dienst GmbH (DAD). His brother Philipp Kroschke remained the management spokesman. The chief executive director of the DAD was Mirko Dobberstein. Kroschke Digital and Deutsche Kennzeichen Technik GmbH were newly founded.
In 2020 Oliver Schlüter became the new managing director of the DAD.
