Christoph Leyendecker (born September 10, 1943 in Dernbach ; † May 11, 2016 ) was a German psychologist and professor at the Technical University of Dortmund .

Life

Christoph Leyendecker was born in Dernbach / Westerwald in 1943. He studied psychology , psychopathology and philosophy at the University of Cologne from 1963 to 1968 and graduated with a diploma for psychologists. He then worked for a few years in the special educational research area and led several projects on the subject of cerebral palsy . He then worked for a few years at the University of Cologne, where he received his doctorate in 1976 and, after completing his habilitation, held a substitute professorship in Hamburg from 1985 to 1986 . From 1988 to 2008 he held the chair “Rehabilitation and Pedagogy for Physical Disabilities” in the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Dortmund. In October 2008 he retired. Leyendecker was a licensed psychotherapist and chairman of the scientific advisory board of the Center for Early Treatment and Early Intervention. V. in Cologne.

Leyendecker was buried on May 19, 2016 after the exequies in the abbey church of St. Nikolaus in Brauweiler in the old churchyard of the parish church of St. Jakobus in Cologne-Widdersdorf .
