Christoph Theobald

Christoph Theobald SJ (* 1946 in Cologne) is a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

Theobald studied Roman Catholic theology in Bonn and Paris. He joined the Roman Catholic Order of the Jesuits in 1978 . Theobald is a professor of Catholic theology in the Department of Fundamental Theology and Dogmatics at the Center Sèvres in Paris . His brother Michael Theobald was Professor of New Testament at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Tübingen. In 2014 they were jointly awarded the Theological Prize of the Salzburg University Weeks.
