Christoph Wenaweser

Christoph Wenaweser (born June 13, 1963 in Grabs ) is a Liechtenstein politician. He has been a member of the Liechtenstein Parliament since 2013 .

biography

Wenaweser completed a commercial apprenticeship in a bank from 1979 to 1982. In 1990 he completed a two-year training in personnel management at the Institute for Management and Management Training in Zurich . He completed his training as a public relations specialist with a federal certificate in October 1993.

After completing his commercial apprenticeship, he worked for a bank for two years before becoming an editor at the Liechtensteiner Vaterland for three years . Wenaweser has now worked for one year as an assistant to the manager at Schädler Unternehmensberatung in Vaduz and for two years as a personnel assistant at the Liechtenstein national administration . From 1991 he worked for Ivoclar AG in Schaan . First as Head of Human Resources, then as Head of Human Resources.

From February 1, 1999 to January 31, 2000, he was head of the traffic and operational police department of the Liechtenstein National Police . From 2000 to 2010 he worked for the law firm Marxer & Partner Rechtsanwälte and was the managing director from 2005 to 2010. In 2011, he became a partner and board member of the trust company Continor Treuhand Anstalt, which was founded by the law firm's partners in the spring of 2010.

Wenaweser began his political career in 2011 when he was elected to the Schaan City Council for the Fatherland Union (VU) for the term of office until 2015. In February 2013 Wenaweser was also elected to the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein for his party. There he was the parliamentary group speaker of the Fatherland Union until the end of the 2013-2017 legislative period. He was re-elected in the state elections in February 2017 . He has been a member of the Liechtenstein delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe since 2017 .

Wenaweser is married and has two daughters.
