Christophe Pognon (born October 11, 1977 in Cotonou ) is a Beninese tennis player.

Career

Pognon was never able to assert himself on a higher professional level such as the ATP Challenger Tour . He also never qualified for Grand Slam tournaments .

He took part in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney on the basis of a Tripartite invitation . In the first round of the individual competition, he met the Brazilian Gustavo Kuerten , to whom he was clearly defeated with 1: 6, 1: 6.

Pognon played a total of 37 games for the Benin Davis Cup team between 1994 and 2011 . With 18 wins, he holds the national record for most wins in Davis Cup singles.
