Christopher Jones (born August 6, 1979 in Redding ) is an American racing cyclist .

Career

Christopher Jones was American road racing champion in 1994 when he was a teenager . In the men's division, Jones was initially primarily active in cyclo-cross racing and won competitions on the international calendar in 2007 and 2008 in Farmington and Los Angeles . In road cycling , he rode with Continental Team Nerac Pro Cycling in 2007 and with Team Type 1 between 2008 . In 2011 he moved to the Professional Continental Team UnitedHealthcare and finished the Tour of Britain for this team in 2012 in fifth place overall. He was fourth in the 2014 US road championships.
