Christopher Kirsch

Christopher Kirsch (born June 14, 1968 ) is a German polo player with a handicap of 4 and is one of the best players in Germany.

His father was already a polo player and so Kirsch started playing at the Hamburg Polo Club at the age of 12 and has been participating in the German championships in all three divisions (low goal, medium goal, high goal) since he was 18. He also made it into the finals and won several championship titles. Besides Germany he also played in England .

In 1998 he achieved the first victory for the “Team Rolex” at the Centenial Cup - 100 years of the Hamburg Polo Club , the tournament with the highest prize money in Germany at the time. In 2008 he represented Germany as team captain, together with Eva Brühl, Max Bosch and Marco Kiesel, at the European Championships, where the team took 5th place.

Kirsch first did a banking apprenticeship and then studied economics. In 2001 he founded Pegasus Event Marketing , an organizer of polo tournaments in Germany. In 2005, Kirsch achieved Grade 1 from the Hurlingham Polo Association and is thus authorized to train players. He lives on Gut Aspern in Groß Offenseth-Aspern near Hamburg .
