Christopher Ray

Christopher Ray (born July 30, 1977 in Florida , Missouri ) is an American film director and producer of various B-films .

Life

Christopher Ray is the son of B-movie director Fred Olen Ray .

As a child and teenager, Ray was seen in various small roles in his father's films. From the mid-1990s he was involved as second assistant director , later also first assistant director in productions, in particular by Fred Olen Ray.

In 2008 he made his first appearance as a director and staged material for the television series Road to Rhythm . In 2009 Ray shot his first feature film with Reptisaurus . With Mega Shark vs Crocosaurus (2010), Thor - The Almighty (2011) and 2-Headed Shark Attack (2012), he staged three other low-budget productions, in the tradition of his father. More films followed. As a line producer , Ray has accompanied several productions since 2010, such as Titanic 2 - The Return (2010), which were also staged for the film production company The Asylum .

In 2010 he worked as a still photographer for several of his father's productions. Like him, Ray often uses variations of his name.

In 2012 he won the Bill Cothron Best Emerging Filmmaker Award .
